UK budget deficit swells as June borrowing hits four-year high

Britain's budget deficit swelled by more than expected recently, following the Government borrowed a lot more than lb7 billion to help balance the books.
The Government posted the highest borrowing figure for June since 2021, based on the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The public sector borrowed lb7.2 billion in June – lb3.8 billion a lot more than June this past year – as it spent more income than it received in taxes and other income.
