Wales' health minister Eluned Morgan is self-isolating after coming into connection with a potential positive case of coronavirus.

Mrs Morgan was because of lead a press conference on Monday. Instead it had been taken by Dr Gillian Richardson, Deputy Chief Medical Officer (Vaccines), and Dr Frank Atherton, Chief Medical Officer for Wales.

A Welsh Government spokeswoman said: “We can confirm the minister for health and social services is self-isolating like a precautionary measure after coming into connection with a potential positive case of Coronavirus.”

The Welsh Government will announce on Wednesday the choice about whether there will be any further relaxation of coronavirus rules.

The cabinet were built with a two hour meeting on Sunday to go over the most recent data and knowledge. It will also meet again Monday afternoon there will likely to be a minumum of one more meeting ahead of Wednesday's decision. In the end understand some decisions happen to be taken, cabinet members asked for further information on a range of topics and will also be considering the latest data until Wednesday.

There is no set time yet for Wednesday's announcement. We expect the very first Minister to have a press conference at some point but it isn't yet decided if it's likely to be before or after he speaks within the Senedd at 3pm.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is a result of lead a press conference at 5pm tonight (July 12) where he's likely to say he'll proceed with lifting just about all restrictions in England. Scotland is currently aiming to ease restrictions on August 9, but rising case numbers could see that postponed again.
